Alexia Carr - peintre et sculptrice
Anglo-française, Alexia Carr est initiée à la peinture
par son père Peter Carr dès l' enfance.
Autodidacte comme lui, elle trouve son inspiration dans le monde de la scène et de la musique ainsi que dans celui du cheval, des univers qu'elle aime rapprocher, étant eégalement chanteuse lyrique de formation, dramaturge
(elle a écrit plusieurs pièces de théâtre) et cavalière.
Sa fascination pour le mouvement, les émotions, les visages etc... apparaît dans ses toiles puissantes et colorées, figuratives et poétiques, reflet de sa personalité imaginative
Dès l'âge de 20 ans, elle expose ses toiles à Toulouse.

Anglo-french, Alexia Carr was introduced to the world of Art by her english father from early childhood. Alexia Carr is autodidacte. She finds her visual inspiration in the operatic and musical world as well as in the equestrian world, two universes she feels like linking together.
Her fascination for movements, emotions, faces (she is particularly talented in portraits ) stands out in her figurative, colorful and powerful paintings, reflecting her imaginative personality.
From the age of twenty, she exhibits her work in Toulouse (France):
"During a whole opera saison, she slips in the wings of the Capitole Opera house, she sketches dozens of drawings to create a series of superb paintings."
(La Dépèche, Toulouse 1992).
In Avignon Opera house, she exhibits forty of her oils: "Le chant de la peinture" (2006). Nice (CEDAC de Cimiez), Marseille, the Casino of Biarritz, Berlin ("Take a dive gallery" 2008, the Marocan Embassy) among others present her paintings as well.
At the age of twenty one, Alexia Carr illustrates her first children's book (Editions Milan – France), and creates the cover of a CD (Editions Gallo); at the age of twenty seven, she signs her first stained-glass windows, created with the stained-glass Master Michel Thomas in Valence (Church of Villeperdrix - Drôme provençale - France).
She is commissioned to paint a mural for a restaurant in Lyon (Carnégie Hall - 450 X 133).
In Berlin, she makes a "happening" painting a canvas from the movie "Star Trek" for Paramount Pictures and creates a mural "Freedom, the forgotten Luxuary".
She creates many publicity posters such as the one for the 113th Jumping Competition of Biarritz (1998); one of her sculptures is chosen for the trophy "Grand Prix".

As the same time, Alexia Carr is a lyrical singer. She has sang the part of Carmen (Bizet) on several occasions among others productions.
Malerin und Bildhauerin
Schon in frühester Jugend wurde Alexia Carr von ihrem Vater an die Welt der Künste herangeführt.
Oftmals lässt sie sich durch eine Oper oder die Beobachtung von Pferden zu ihrer Kunst inspirieren. Es gelingt ihr, in ihren Werken diese unterschiedlichen Welten zu vereinen.
Ihre Faszination für Bewegung, Gefühle und Gesichter (dies zeigt sich insbesondere in ihren Porträts) setzt sie in starke und farbintensive Bilder um, die gleichzeitig Ausdruck ihrer fantasievollen Persönlichkeit sind.
Bereits seit ihrem 20. Lebensjahr stellt sie ihre Werke aus.
La dépêche – Toulouse schrieb 1992: "Für eine Spielzeit schlüpft sie hinter die Kulissen des Theaterhauses Capitole in Toulouse, erstellt dutzende Skizzen, um einen Satz prachtvoller Bilder zu schaffen".
In der Oper von Avignon stellt sie 40 Ölgemälde unter dem Titel „Der Gesang der Malerei“ (2006) aus. Weitere Ausstellungen in Nizza (CEDAC de Cimiez), Marseille, im Casino von Biarritz und Berlin ("Take a dive Gallery" 2008; Odd Fellow Haus 2007 -"Die gemalte Stimme").
2010 stellte sie ihre Werke in der Marrokanischen Botschaft Berlins aus: "Ein Ritt durch die Musik".
Mit 21 Jahren illustrierte Alexia Carr ihr erstes Kinderbuch ("Petits contes comme autrefois ou presque" Editions Milan - France). Danach gestaltet sie ein CD-Cover für die Editions Gallo.
Mit 27 entwarf sie ihre ersten Kirchenfenster, die vom Glasmeister Michel Thomas in Valence umgesetzt werden (Kirche von Villeperdrix - Drôme provençale - France). Für das Restaurant Carnégie Hall in Lyon entwarf sie ein Wandbild (450x133cm).
In Berlin machte sie ein "Happening" über die Serie "Star Trek" (Paramount Pictures - 2009).
Ausserdem entwarf sie zahlreiche Plakate, z.B. für das 113. Reitturnier in Biarritz (1998).
Eine ihrer Skulpturen wurde für die Trophäe "Grand Prix" dieses Reitturniers ausgewählt.
